Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on 16 November 2009.

Firstly, the Commission approved the session minute dated on 9 November 2009.
Later, CEC adopted decision on the approval of the authorized representatives of the Communist Party in Municipal Elections appointed to 23 December 2009.

At the session, amendments were made in the compositions of Garadagh Con.EC # 11, Surakhani second Con.EC # 31 and Khatai first Con.EC # 33.

At the session of the Commission, the election related appeals entered the CEC on Municipal Elections appointed to 23 December 2009 were considered and decision was adopted on not implementing the appeals due to their groundlessness.

At the CEC session, current issues were also considered.

At the session, representatives of OSCE Baku office, the USA embassy, International Foundation for Election Systems (the USA), International Republicans Institute, National Democracy Institute and mass media also took part.
