The Central Election Commission has compiled a "Guide for Candidates" booklet as part of the educational program for electoral subjects of different status in connection with the Municipal elections scheduled for January 29, 2025.

Mr.Rovzat Gasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission mentioned about it at the session of the Commission held on December 9.

He noted that the main goal in the implementation of the project and the preparation of the publication is to provide methodical assistance to the citizens intending to be elected as municipal members to exercise their passive electoral rights, to increase their awareness and to facilitate their activities.

"The booklet contains detailed information on the procedures, steps to be undertaken, the terms and rules defined by the Election Code for the submission of documents, as well as the rights and duties of the registered candidates, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation regarding the nomination and registration of candidacy for municipal membership," said Mr.R. Gasimov said.

The Deputy Chairman of the CEC also added that the "Guide for Candidates" booklet was prepared on the basis of the normative acts approved by the Election Code and the CEC can be obtained from the lower election commissions, as well as is available on the Commission's official website (www.msk.gov.az).
