The delegation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan left for a visit to Chisinau in order to observe the constitutional referendum and presidential elections to be held in the Republic of Moldova on October 20, 2024.

According to the invitation addressed by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova to the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Rovzat Gasimov and Head of the International Relations Department of the Secretariat Rashid Yusifbeyli are participating in the observation of the said referendum and elections in Moldova.

Within the framework of the visit, representatives of the Central Election Commission will hold meetings with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Moldova, Anjelika Karaman and other officials, and discuss the possibilities of expanding inter-institutional relations and exchange of experience in various fields related to elections.

In addition to familiarizing themselves with the general preparation processes for the Constitutional referendum and presidential elections, the delegation will also observe the voting procedures at the polling stations in the capital on the election day.
