The delegation headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited Kazakhstan in order to observe referendum held in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the visit held at the invitation of Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan, M.Panakhov held meetings with his Kazakh counterpart, as well as other officials, as well as organizations participating in the observation of the referendum and heads of election management bodies of foreign countries and opportunities and issues of mutual interest are planned to be discussed.

It should be noted that representatives of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the observation missions of the Organization of Turkic States and the Commonwealth of Independent States, are participating in the monitoring of the said referendum.

Representatives of the Central Election Commission will conduct surveillance in the polling stations located in the capital of Kazakhstan and in the regions on the day of voting.
