On August 14, 2024 Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) met with Mr. Ditmir Bushati, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission in regard with the upcoming early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Having greeted the international observers, CEC Chairman expressed his gratitude of the initiative for the meeting of the mission.

Expressing his gratitude for friendly welcome, D. Bushati inquired about the processes of the Elections to the Milli Majlis.

CEC Chairman gave detailed information about the large-scale projects implemented and works undertaken in the field of the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections for more efficient realize of the rights to elect and to be elected of the country citizenship, also drew attention to the compatibility of all the steps with legislation under atmosphere of full transparency.

Answering the visitors' questions, CEC Chairman also emphasized on the preparations for the Elections to the Milli Majlis to be held for the first time in all sovereign territories of Azerbaijan and successful continuation of the large-scale projects schedule.

Within the frame of the meeting, other issues of mutual interest regarding with the Elections to the Milli Majlis were also discussed.
