The Central Election Commission (CEC) conducted the session chaired by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on July 9, 2024.

Firstly, the Commission’s session minute dated 6 July, 2024 was approved. Later, the issue on the activities regarding some Constituency Election Commissions was considered. It was informed on the necessity of forming new polling stations in the territories liberated from occupation to ensure the election rights of many voters settled in those areas, also who work in long-term reconstruction, restoration activities in regard with the early Elections to the Mili Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appointed to September 1, 2024. Following the discussions of the issue by the Commission members and considering the necessity of creating the most favorable conditions for voters, the relevant Con.ECs were commissioned with establishing new polling stations and organizing Precinct Election Commissions within Fuzuli Con.EC # 84, Aghdam-Khojali Con.EC # 118, Lachin Con.EC # 121, Khankendi Con.EC # 122, Shusha-Aghdam-Khojavend Con.EC #124 and Zangilan-Gubadli Con.EC # 125 as incompliance with the Election Code.

During the session the issue on the termination of authorities of Mr.Adil Abish Aliyev, Deputy of the VI call Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan was considered. It was informed that since Mr.Adil Abish Aliyev, Deputy of the Milli Majlis had been appointed head of Baku city Surakhani district executive authority by Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, his deputy powers shall be terminated as in compliance with the Constitution and Election Code. Upon considering the above-mentioned, CEC adopted decision on the termination of the deputy powers of Mr.Adil Abish Aliyev pursuant to the legislation.

During the Commission session the issue on the registration of the authorized representatives of Azerbaijan Popular Party, Azerbaijan Democrat Party, National Front Party, Justice, Law and Democracy Party, Azerbaijan National Independence Party, Great Azerbaijan Party and White Party in regard with the early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appointed to September 1, 2024 was also considered. The persons presented by the above-mentioned parties were decided to be registered as authorized representatives.

During the session attended by the representatives of foreign organization and media outlets current issues were also discussed.
