On 20 May, Alper Joshkun, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to our country met with CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov.
CEC Chairman expressed his gratitude of the meeting with the country representative and emphasized his confidence in further development of Azerbaijan’s relations with Turkey basing on fraternity and friendship.
Ambassador thanked for warm greeting and expressed on his will to make efforts for friendship and brotherhood relations during the period of his office in Azerbaijan. He performed with the initiative of establishing top-level cooperation between the election bodies of two countries.
Ambassador requested on the information about the existing election system, organization principles of electoral structures and their activity fields in Azerbaijan.
CEC Chairman thoroughly informed the country representative about the election system and activity of election institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, also, views were exchanged on the issues of mutual interest.
