Central Election Commission (CEC) compiled "Guide for Candidates” within the frame of awareness-raising of different election stakeholders regarding the Municipal Elections, appointed to December 23, 2019.

The goal of implementing the project and compiling the booklet is to render methodical assistance to citizens intending to be elected municipality member to exercise their passive election right and to smooth their activity further.

The booklet contains detailed information on the steps of nominating and registering the candidacy, rights and duties of registered candidates and the issues prohibited for them by law.

The Guide is compiled basing on the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and legal documents approved by CEC.
